Binakol is an Aklanon dish. It is chicken soup with a base of young coconut water (buko juice). Chicken Binakol is a chicken dish similar to Tinola but instead of using rice wash or tap water, this chicken soup is cooked in coconut water.

There are two variations of this dish: the Batangas version, where they usually use flavourful and lean chicken meat from Philippine Native Chicken, cooked slowly in a bamboo tube. The Visayan version, on the other hand, is cooked with lemongrass and simmered in a coconut shell.
